JOIN US FOR OUR GRAND OPENING Sat. Oct 5 and Sun. Oct 6 Music, Food, Fun and STUFF!

ALLEY KATS is NOW OPEN!    Come join our  GRAND OPENING PARTY the weekend of October 5-6.

Starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 5th, we’ll be CELEBRATING not only the opening of our new Art and Antiques store, but also the return of owner JE Myers to the Old Warehouse District Downtown.   JE is back in her old (and enlarged) spot at the rear of the circa 1862 Johnson Transfer building,  at 400 So. Madison, in the rear and literally UNDER THE BRIDGE on the ancient–and forgotten!–Old South Center Street.

During the day on Saturday, we’ll have LIVE MUSIC from “Stripped By Hippies,” a return of one of our favorite friends from the Under The Bridge Nights, Dave Berchtold, and a new member of our Under The Bridge “House Band” group, Chris Tapp.  Plus a variety of Piano Players!

Food will be provided by the NACHO MAMAS food truck!

And we’ll be featured during a live DJ Remote Broadcast from Cities 92 FM Radio as well!

If you love Antiques, Vintage Items, Collectibles, and especially ART (past and present) you’re going to have to make Alley Kats—and the 20 “Kats” that are a part of it–a regular stop on your Antique-ing and “Just Passing Time” tours.

Alley Kats is open Wednesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm.  FRIDAYS we are open til 7:00 pm!  And Sundays open from 12 Noon to 4 pm.

COME HANG OUT WITH THE KOOL KATS WITH THE KOOL STUFF!

Check Out Our New ROAD!!!

After nearly ten years, our building has finally seen the repair of WATER STREET leading along the north side!  Asphalt isn’t generally considered to be “Pretty” but this blacktop sure is!  The City of Bloomington’s STREET GUYS rolled in last week and provided Water Street (one of the oldest continually-used streets in McLean County!) with a fine new covering.   The crew’s professionalism, and shall we say ARTISTRY, was fun to watch as they used mammoth-sized equipment to carefully scrape and level the old pot-holed, banged up roadway, and then poured and rolled layers of Black Velvet.  Already people are enjoying the new surface as they drive up to our new front door, or walk up from Old Warehouse Antiques.  THANKS BLOOMINGTON!
